All visitors, students of other schools, and instructors are always welcome at our school. It is a place where we learn more about ourselves and learn more about the Martial Arts. It is to be used with a good spirit, open mind and a good attitude. All instructors are certified Black Belts in Taekwondo and Kempo Karate Do. We have 18 Active Black Belt Instructors in our school.

He Was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame On May 7, 1994

L.C. Collins, Jr. Founder/Chief Instructor of East Tennessee School of Taekwondo/Karate, started Karate in 1966 at Lockbourne Air Force Base, Columbus, Ohio under T/Sgt. Dubuque, an Okinawan stylist. While stationed in Ohio, Alaska, and Sumter, South Carolina, he was fortunate to train in different systems of the Martial Arts. Over the years he has trained in Jujitsu, Judo, Boxing, Hapkido, Karate, and Taekwondo.

On May 7, 1994, Mr. Collins was inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame for his dedication and training in the Martial Arts. In May, 1995, Mr. Collins was asked to be on the Executive Board of Directors of the W.M.A.H.O.F. by president/founder Professor E.A. Moore. Upon accepting this position, he was reviewed for rank promotion. He was awarded the title of Professor of Martial Arts and the title of "SOKE" (Head of Family) under the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame Sokeship Council and awarded the Rank of "KUDAN", 9th Degree Black Belt under the International Shorinji Ryu Kempo Combined Headquarters. Mr. Collins also holds 5th Degree Black Belt under the Universal Taekwondo Association. He has been active in the martial arts for over thirty (30) years.

Professor Collins has been teaching Karate and Taekwondo in Kingsport since March 1969, and continues to work-out and teach today. He thanks God for his many blessings.
