Girls Incorporated is an educational development center for girls which enhances their
opportunities for educational, emotional, occupational, and physical development.
A professional staff supervises a wide variety of programs including:
Creative Arts, Social & Leadership Skills, Sports Fitness, Gymnastics,
Computers, Video Technology, and Consumer Economics.


The mission of Girls Incorporated is to assist affiliates in meeting the needs of girls
in their communities; to help girls and young women overcome the effects of
discrimination and to develop their capacity to be self-sufficient, responsible citizens;
and to serve as a vigorous advocate for girls, focusing attention on their special needs.


Any girl in the Kingsport area who is enrolled in kindergarten and has not graduated from
high school. We serve girls from all sections of town including Sullivan & Hawkins County.
Have a parent or guardian bring you to Girls Incorporated to fill out a registration card.

Due to your United Way support, memberships are offered for only $15 per year.
Scholarships are also available on a limited basis. Eighty percent of Girls Incorporated members
have a family income under $20,000, and sixty-five percent with one or neither parent
.


Van service provided to most Kingsport City schools
and selected Sullivan County schools where most needed.
